Every little helps

Played 3 MTT's last night and came away with a small $10+ profit from $14.90. First time that i have got so deep in this tournament. Only walking away with $26 after i call an all-in from under the gun with AcQc. Blinds were 2k/4k and the all in covered my 22k by 3k. I'm thinking Hero or zero moment and feel its a good chance here as i previously saw the same move 2 rounds ago with medium holdings. The rest of the table folds he turns over KsJh and the flop comes JcQs10d......... Yes!!! 9c ....... ARRGHHH come on CLUB KING!.... 2d. Outdrawn and out I deal with the aftermath of emotional turmoil. What do we poker players put ourselves through. Well in my opinion poker players will take thier edge and take a stand. You got to be in it to win it but also have a good stack size for a fighting chance for big money!
Anyway not a bad outcome to the day cos i made a profit!

Hi all!

Two tournaments today a $1 HS with a $500 guarantee (64th/402) and a $4 HS (4th/316). Not much variance in my games played recently as Ladbrokes has merged with Unibet meaning more players and bigger prizes but I have yet to plan out which games to play. My bankroll has been converted into my local currency so you may question my bamkroll from last time but my bankroll in USD is $1349!! WOO.

Quick update: Played two $4 High Stack (HS) multi-table tournaments (mtt) last night but had no luck.

The first tournament I was very card dead. I saw some cheap flops with small pairs and med strength hands but hit nothing, in the 3 occassions while short stacked I did pick up something all were split pots! Gutted! Soon after I picked up AJ offsuit, mid position. I had just under 2k with the blinds at 100/200. A player in early position limps (who previously split a pot with me holding AK limping in that hand also) BUT flustered already i decided to make a stand. He calls turning over my gut feeling of AK vs AJ I missed a running flush on the river and I exited 99th and pennyless.

Right calming myself I enter the arena again! Not so card dead at the start. I get a nice start, drama was never far away when the table folds round to me I raised with QdQh mid position with the blinds at 50/100 holding 5800 to 350 I get the dealer calling and the big blind making the pot a total of 1300. Flop comes Ad 10d Qs. I bet 700 both players call turn is a Ah I now check followed quickly by the other two. River comes 2d brutal turn and river for myself but i sure it prob help at least one of my opponents. Angry at myself for slightly slow playing my trips turn fullhouse with a wet board but i dunno i felt danger. I shrug my shoulders and check, the player behind bets 500 then the big blind shoves! Easy fold really but i feel i could have taken the pot on the flop. You could say i got greedy with that flop as a big bet would have got action anyway if someone had an ace. So i fold and to my surprise and irony, the player behind shows a aces full with 10's and the other Ace high flush holding KdQs if i had played the pot to take it on the flop i would have been out. Feeling better about my play i strive on with 4750. 45mins past with a stack of 6200 gained by few small steals but the blinds at 200/400 and 123 players left in, i tighten up to try and pick up a monster. Nothing for that level but trash! But then mid way though 400/800 and my stack of 5000 becoming critical i pick up AsKh in the small blind and everyone folds but the dealer with 8500 straddles in (raises double the big blind) i shove all in, the big blind folds with the raiser calling. He shows AdJh and the flop comes JJ10 5 7 . Finishing 87th i feel it wasn't my day but tomorrows another.

Chilled out by pretending i'm tiger woods on the wii playing the PGA tour lol gotta have my win for the day. ;o)

Anyway thanks for reading and gl at the tables.
Peace C

Secret to mtt's

When I look for a poker tournament I look for value, value, value unless its a night for turbos. Anyway I'll cut to the chase.
I buy in small, which is within my 0.02% range of my bankroll for 1 game! As long as I stick with this and play good poker in the long run I get results and make profit.
Fate has it that since I started this blog my last win sent me just over the $1.3k. Arhhh love a good return for my money!
I shall savour the moment while it last ;o)
Peace everyone and gl at the tables. c

Introduction

Hi
No doubt if your reading my blog your probably interested in what I do! Well I found you could make money from playing poker! I started a yr ago and now into my 2nd with 1.2k in my poker account! I play under the name Mr_C_eM and I vowed to never break the rules I had set:

1. Never buy into a tournament worth more than 0.01-0.02% of my bankroll.
2. I'll never buy into a cash game or a Sit & Go with more than 5 percent of my total bankroll (there is an exception for the lowest limits: I'm allowed to buy into any game with a buy-in of $2.50 or less).
3. If at any time during a No-Limit or Pot-Limit cash-game session the money on the table represents more than 10 percent of my total bankroll, I must leave the game when the blinds reach me.
4. Never use my bankroll for anything else other than poker until the time is right.
5. Never never NEVER play when your tired or not tip top.
6. Manage your tournaments for the whole day.
7. Learn and be studious and use everything to your advantage.

Now this may sound stupid to some and they may think well its gambling and your going to lose it all at some point.... Great because as long as there are people that think that way, your always going to make money in the long run. One day I'll write about this in more detail at the moment I'm trying to show people where the money in poker is coming from and how you can play smart and if their not lucky take a nice share of the flux of cash.
The idea of my adapted rules is for the long-run so a consistent play is required. As I am a tight player I based my strategy on probability, position and image. I therefore hoped to achieve a solid, tight-aggressive style. However that's how I started. Now after following the rules rigidly for a year I have some breathing room. Everything in poker is a grind. Only now do I feel comfortable enough to do riskier things but not stupid ones! I still play the numbers in a solid style and they constantly bring me back a profit.
I see the same group of players over and over again on the leaderboards and the final tables worldwide. Poker to me is a game of skill and calculated risks. On the the other hand if you can afford it you can take more risks like the pros do but until then I'm going to keep building my stack bigger and bigger until I can.

That's why I love the game there is always someone willing to be the underdog but remember that this doesn't matter because in my experience the numbers never lie.

Peace and love and good luck at the tables, remember manners cost nothing in poker so use them. Respect is a useful asset.
